The Return of Jacksonian Democracy

President Trump was at his very best yesterday during his visit to the Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson's estate in Tennessee. We mentioned before that Trump would do well to imitate the policies of the seventh president in many ways, kicking the life-tenured bureaucrats out of Washington, returning our federal government to the limits of the enumerated powers in the Constitution, making tariffs not income taxes the primary source of federal income, returning to a true laissez faire economic system without bailouts, subsidies and regulations that favor the corporate elite, and most importantly abolishing the Federal Reserve.
