"Wherefore We must interrupt a silence which it would be criminal to prolong, that We may point out...as they really are, men who are badly disguised." Pope St. Pius X, September 8, 1907, Pascendi Dominici Gregis

Even In This Fallen World, Conservatives Rule

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, master of the universe, is the very logic, or natural law, or operating system of the created world. Indeed, as Thomas Aquinas demonstrates, it would be impossible for us to exist even in this present moment without God willing it so.

Because He is the way, the truth and the life, all order originates in Him. This order, or natural law as it is conceptualized, is the ultimate governing principle or government of the universe. All order is based on this natural law. Indeed, as philosophers such as Hans Hermann Hoppe point out, it is impossible even to speak or act without implicitly recognizing the natural order that allows one to do so.

Fundamental to this order though is free will. Thus, human beings can cooperate with God's plan for salvation and order, or, they have the radical option of rejecting it. Because God is true government, all those that cooperate with God and work to restore the order which others disrupt are conservative by their very nature.

It is true that free will allows for the possibility of a fallen world, such as ours. But this does not change the fundamental nature of God and His order. Just because certain souls have chosen to rebel against that order, the purpose of that order is not invalidated.
And God called the dry land, Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Indeed, this world was made for the conservatives. Since now it is fallen, it is made for those who wish to prove their credentials to God. God's order has been violated. He respects our free will in doing so. Those who choose to remain faithful to God's order despite the costs of doing so, in turn justify the love of God who allows to continue in existence a world that has turned against Him.
Again the devil took him up into a very high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me.
God's natural law has been violated, originally in the Garden of Eden by Eve, and then Adam, and now by millions daily. Man in his fallen nature fools himself believing that his government is greater than God's. Men are not wise enough to govern the things they set out to govern and are deluded by their own disordered lusts. The Austrian Economist Frederick Hayek has explained this in great detail as it applies to economics. This Fatal Conceit as he called it is no different than and finds its origin in Original Sin.

And so, as men overturn God's natural order, which is the order best suited for their self-actualization, men instead find themselves serving Satan, whose goal is the destruction of the human race.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth was gone, and the sea is now no more.
But God's justice runs deeper. God can work His enemies best efforts into their own defeat. This fallen world will no longer do, but those conservatives who struggle to bring God's truth back into existence are helping secure their place in the New Jerusalem where God's natural order will not be violated and men will live to adore God's perfect order forever.

If that last phrase is meaningless to you, I encourage you to go to the middle of nowhere and look at the stars, or get lost pondering the beauty of the spontaneous social order God created as it is described in Human Action, or whatever activity in which you find it possible to seize a glimpse of the mind of God.

The truth is that the perfection of God's original order will one day be revealed to us, but we must live lives that open us to this possibility.
Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves.

Don't let the arrogance of the leftists get you down for even a second. That eternal optimism that was always the linchpin of true American culture is no less valid today. Americans must just realize that their optimism may not always be fulfilled in this life. Even if, as we see in the current occupant of the White House, sometimes it will be. And there is no optimism without God.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.

In fact, if we live truly conservative lives, the worst thing the leftist thinks they can do to us is actually the best, killing us or making us suffer. Because in our persistence to do what is just even in the face of persecution, we become like our Lord.

There is nothing the leftists do that can change any of this.

This world belongs to you, conservative. Live in it, as Christ did, as if it does.
Go and reveal yourselves to be my cherished children. I am at your side and within you, provided that your faith is the light which shines upon you in these unhappy days. May your zeal make you famished for the glory and the honour of Jesus Christ. Fight, children of light, you, the few who can see. For now is the time of all times, the end of all ends.   - Our Lady of La Sallette
